Whats Forum Mafia you ask?

Good Question. Its basically a game with two sides. The Mafia. And the Town. In its simplest form this is the basic outline.

How ever many people are playing, be it 7 people -Lowest possible count to have a decent game- ,to its highest count of 26-30, -Most pwnage of games right there, more people the better game play is, as well as more time for actual deducing and stuff-, It always has Mafia vs Town.

Of course the more people that play allow for more complex role systems, even Mafia Factions as well(Two small Mafia families against each other, with the town lying in their wake), and allows the entrance of secret roles in the mix, be you mafia or townie.

Mafia is a game of cunning and deception, logic and deduction. It makes you go into detective mode, even if your the mafia~ Cause in the most basic of games there is: The mafia, The townies, and the towns own Cop(s) and Doctor, and most of the time a Serial Killer(SK). It takes a certain amount of deductive reasoning on both sides to figure out who is Mafia and/or SK(for a townie) and who is the towns power roles, Doctors and the Cops, as well as the SK(for the mafia). I think its safe to say that it takes a very, VERY, decent player to play an SK, for this role is all by itself and is his/her own team. The SK's job is to off the Mafia first(gets rid of other player-killer roles~), THEN the town. Would be in an SKs best interest to take out the Cops and Doctor as well while he/she goes about taking the Mafia out. Like I said, no matter what role you have, you need to be on the ball to see everything that is going on.

It has two phases. Day and Night. In Day, which a game of mafia usually starts on, people get together and vote on who they think is MAFIA. I stress the word Mafia because in one game I played of Mafia, people were voting out people that were pretty much confirmed to be non-Mafia =.=;; This is not what you do in any given situation in a Day Phase. As townies, you are supposed to use the Day phase to out Mafia, while the Mafia try and lie there way out of being taken out. Its that simple, yet in that game people lost site of this most simple of logic :/ The Sk I want to point, is a common enemy to both the Town and the Mafia.~ The SK is by him/herself and wins if he/she outs everyone! A third party role D= And most epic if they DO win ^^

At the end of the day phase, who ever has the most votes is offed and that persons role is revealed and it moves into Night Phase. In this phase the mafia members get together and decide on who to take out. While the Cop(s) decide who to investigate, getting that persons role revealed to them, and let the Doctor choose which person they feel is in most danger and protect them from harm. By the end of the night phase, when all night actions are sent in, the phase ends and it is revealed o all who was targeted by the Mafia. Of course whoever the Doctor or Cop targeted is not revealed.~ And we go into a cycle as the next Day Phase rolls in.

Here is a rough explanation of the roles.

Mafia - Each night the Mafia will get together and decide who to take out. Though, it is rumored that the Godfather has the final say as to who will get hit. Furthermore, the Godfather gets to choose which mafia member s/he will send out to do the hit. Once the Godfather is no more, the mafia will have to squabble amongst themselves to see what will happen. Furthermore, it is said that the Godfather has had things organized so that if the police officers investigate him/her, then s/he will appear just as any other townsperson and has absolute protection during the night phase.

SK - This person holds no allegiance to anyone, but can choose to take out any single member that s/he wants. This is not a mafia member, so s/he will not be known who is the mafia and who is the townsperson. Is this a person that will help the townspeople? Or is this someone who will aid the Mafia members? The SK gets to choose one person to hit at night.

Doctor - The doctor gets to choose one person each night that they will escort that night in the hopes that they will be able to save them if they are being targeted by either the Mafia or the SK. If the doctor chooses to escort the SK, the SK will be cured of his/her ill will and becomes an ordinary townsperson.

Police Officers - Police Officers will choose amongst themselves one person to investigate each night. They will then be told of that player's role. The police officers are free to share the information that they have found out, though they should be warned that by doing so too freely will make them targets of the Mafia members.

How do you win?

The Mafia will win if they take everyone else out and only they remain, or if the remaining townies and mafia are equal(unless of course the Doctor and SK is still in play)

The SK will win if there is no more mafia, and the SK is the last remaining townsperson alive.

The Town will win if the SK is either cured or taken out and all the mafia are taken out

Also This game can be Themed(Like FF, or MT itself, or any kind of anime as well xD or any game too) If there is a theme you want to suggest to use for one, by all means pm me with the idea xD And if its something I have little to no knowledge on please provide me with a little backdrop of the theme your suggesting(Like some manga or anime I haven't seen, ect ect) Can't wait to hear from ya!~

Also on another note, this is a game where you can RP(Role Play) if you so desire. RPing is not mandatory, so if you think you cant do it you don't have to feel obligated to .

But by no means is this a game where JUST voting as in: (VOTE:Skylore-Reborn) and nothing else. While this is a game of cunning deception, logic and deduction, This is also a game of discussion. Your are supposed to be discussing who is Mafia or who isn't How does, JUST voting, garner any discussion? It doesn't, and Sky will look down upon you with scorn if you do D:< If you vote for someone, give people a reason, be just by random dice roll or astute decision o.o Its that simple....yet people find it ahrd to do this Dx Just putting it out there for you guys, so dont worry~

I'll put the names of each person joining into a randomizer. The roles will be randomly given to the players, cause it would kinda defeat the purpose of the game if you could choose yourself eh? xD The SK role will NEVER be among mafia members though. =P

yeah Y______________Y Its sad. Wanna think up some ways to get more active people involved? I think having this game alone would make this a active place xD though thats just me D: Its addicting once you get the hang of it xD
